Glass jars sterilization and packaging

PROJECT CHARTER

For our client’s factory located in Poland FIDES took over production line extension project for vegetables and ready meals packed in jars. Concept was developed together with FIDES with clients’ process technicians. Filling area was desgined to provide 100 jars per miutre to automatically loaded autoclave. After sterilization jars were destacked from cages and transported to packing hall. Packing end was equipped with X-ray, labelling machine and followed by tray former linked with shrink wrap System. Timeline for execution was 9 months and old equipment was fully operational until final shutdown for minimum downtime.

SERVICE PROVIDED

FIDES engineers were responsible for design and project engineering in project. Site Technical Director was point of contact from suppliers side. FIDES established team presented and accepted by client for project execution on site. Up to 100 trade contractors were supervised by FIDES engineering team during most intense phase of installation. Schedule was iteratively reviewed and respected to avoid unwanted downtime. When line was installed and electrically connected FIDES engineers tested connections and performed commissioning with assistance of client’s Process Engineer, Maintenance Technician and Operators. After successfull effectiveness ramp up project was handovered to client’s staff together with documentation and operation and maintenance manuals.
